While 2011 dwindles down to its end, movie-goers are excited for the premieres that 2012 promises to bring. Patrons will flock to their own local movie theaters in order to catch the viewing of theses upcoming films from imbd.com:
Man on a Ledge (January 27)
Man on a Ledge stars Sam Worthington as he plays a man who is an “ex-cop turned con” ready to jump to his death as a psychologist attempts to talk him down. Although it may seem just like a suicide attempt, there is an effort behind his public display to prove his innocence.
Underworld Awakening (January 20)
The fourth release in the Underworld series promises to bring mankind into the war between vampires and lycans that has been raging since the first movie. Kate Beckinsale still plays Selene, the vampire warrioress, as she units both species to defend themselves against the humans.
The Vow (February 10)
Nicolas Sparks lovers will enjoy this tale of love about a woman who gets in a car accident and forgets all about her husband and their life together. Rachel McAdams from The Notebook and Channing Tatum from Dear John star as the ill-fated lovers caught in an unfortunate situation.
Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax (March 2)
An animated adventure about Dr. Seuss’ story of The Lorax in which a 12 year old boy searches for the answer of how to win the love of the girl he admires by reflecting on the story of The Lorax. Famous actors like Zac Efron, Taylor Swift and Betty White provide characters' voices for this children’s flick.
The Hunger Games (March 23)
The Hunger Games is modeled after the beginning of the famous trilogy by Suzanne Collins. It revolves around the character Katniss Evergreen, played by Jennifer Lawrence, set in a distant future where 2 children from each district are sent to the Capital to compete in a competition called the “Hunger Games” where they must fight to the death. This action movie is sure to attract teenagers who read the trilogy and anyone who enjoys a fast-paced movie.
Chimpanzee (April 20, 2012)

Rock of Ages (June 1)
Fans of the theater will enjoy this play made into a movie. Rock of Ages, a long-running, favorably viewed Broadway favorite, has now become a motion-picture starring Diego Boneta and Julianne Hough as Drew and Sherrie respectively as they pursue dreams in New York City during 1987 but find love instead.

Snow White and the Huntsman (June 1)
Twilight Saga star, Kristin Stewart plays Snow White in this twist of the original fairy tale where the fabled Disney star takes a path different from the classic. Instead of running away from the Huntsman and residing with the dwarves, Snow White is trained by the Huntsman to battle the evil queen and fight for her freedom.

The Dark Knight Rises (July 20)
After the amazing profits from the first Dark Knight, a second is soon to release still starring Christian Bale as Batman but adding some more characters into the mix. After the popularity of the previous movies, fans are sure to be filling theaters for this final movie about the Cullens defending themselves and the new born baby Renesmee from the evil Volturi so that Edward and Bella can finally live in peace.
